Glym. — Your brain's best friend

Your brain deserves more than a last-minute check-up.

Modern life is demanding, and the list of things to do never seems to end. But taking care of your brain shouldn’t only start when something goes wrong.

After more than 17 years working in clinical neuroscience and seeing first-hand the impact neurological disease can have on people and their families, I created Glym. to help you act earlier.

Glym. gives you a clear snapshot of the key areas influencing your brain health, helping you understand what matters most and where to start.

Vania Pinto, Clinical Neurophysiologist and founder of Glym.

Vania Pinto — Clinical Neurophysiologist, BSc, MSc

Because brain health shouldn't start when something goes wrong.

Your brain health journey starts before you ever get sick. It's now well established that some of the biological changes associated with brain disease can begin 20+ years before the first clinical signs appear.

That means the window to support your brain isn't someday in the future — it's now. And let's be honest: modern life doesn't always make this easy.

We're juggling work, family, relationships, responsibilities and expectations, often while navigating completely new seasons of life. Sleep can change. Our mood can fluctuate. We may feel more forgetful, less focused or simply not quite like ourselves.

These changes can be part of life — but that doesn't mean we have to simply accept them or live with their impact.

The good news is that many of the factors that influence our brain health are modifiable — from sleep and movement to stress, nutrition, cardiovascular health, social connection and cognitive stimulation. There are things we can do to support our brains, reduce risk factors and build resilience for the years ahead.

But knowing what matters is one thing. Knowing what matters for you is another.

That's where Glym. comes in. Glym. helps you understand your own brain health and identify the practical steps that make sense for your life, your brain and your priorities — without the overwhelm, fear or endless stream of health advice.

Because taking care of your brain shouldn't feel like another thing on your to-do list. It should simply become part of taking care of you.

Why me?

I'm not a wellness influencer, and Glym. isn't built around trends.

I'm a Clinical Neurophysiologist with more than 17 years of experience working with the human brain and nervous system.

Over the years, I've seen the devastating impact neurological disease can have — not only on patients, but on families and everyday life.

And it made me ask a simple question:

"What can we do before we get sick?"

That question became the starting point for Glym.

My approach

Science, without the overwhelm.

There is no shortage of information about brain health. Endless supplements, apps, wearables, diets, protocols and "biohacks". But more information doesn't necessarily mean better decisions.

My approach is different. I take the science, clinical experience and evidence-based guidance and translate it into simple, practical steps you can actually use in everyday life.

No fear-based messaging
No unrealistic routines
No one-size-fits-all checklist

Just a clearer understanding of your brain — and what you can do to support it.

What I can help with

Start where you are.

You don't need to wait until something is seriously wrong to start caring for your brain.

Sleep
Brain health risk factors
Memory
Stress & mood
Nutrition & gut-brain health
Focus & cognition
Social & emotional wellbeing
Movement & energy
Cognitive enrichment

The goal isn't to change everything. It's to understand where you are now, what matters most for you, and what to focus on first.

A simple way to start.

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Vania.

I'm a Clinical Neurophysiologist, mother of two, and the person behind Glym.

I grew up in beautiful Portugal, moved to London in my twenties, and eventually found my way to Abu Dhabi, where I've spent almost a decade working in neurological care.

Over the years, I've listened to countless stories and witnessed first-hand the impact neurological disease can have on people and their families. It made me start asking a simple question:

What if we could start taking care of our brains earlier?

So much of healthcare is understandably focused on diagnosing and treating disease once it appears. But neuroscience is showing us that the foundations of brain health are shaped long before many neurological problems become clinically apparent.

Completing my MSc in Regenerative Neurology strengthened my interest in the brain's ability to adapt, repair and maintain resilience — and in how we can support these processes through the things we can influence in everyday life.

At Glym., I want to make brain health more proactive and personal — helping people understand the factors that influence their brain, recognise areas that may need attention, and take practical steps to support cognitive health and resilience over time.

My goal is simple: to make brain health accessible, practical and easy to fit into everyday life — wherever you are.

Testimonials

What people say about working with Vania.

I expected a standard survey, but I got a genuinely useful snapshot of my brain health. It made me realize how connected everything is: sleep, focus, stress, and mood. Better yet, it shows you how to address each area yourself instead of just dropping a list of problems. Simple, practical, and worth your time.
